Tom Odeski, Pool Cover Resource, Recipient of the  APSP Region 3 2007-2008 Volunteer Leadership Award. APSP Region 3 recently hosted its recognition awards for Volunteer of the Year award demonstrating exemplary leadership, reliability, consistency, willingness, and spirit. This year, the 2008 Volunteer of the Year was awarded to Tom Odeski, owner of Pool Cover Resource in Dallas, Texas, and an APSP member since 1982.  Tom Odeski has shown exemplary industry leadership on a regional level as the Region 3 Government Relations Advocacy chairman; on a state level, as the Texas Pool Builder Licensing Symposia creator and organizer; and on a local level as the North Texas chapter president. In addition to his numerous APSP volunteer efforts, Tom also serves as secretary to APEC (Aquatic Professionals Education Council) and chairs the Legislative Initiative committee. Jack is the owner of APES Pools in Houston , TX and has been an APSP member since 1999. He has been actively involved in a number of volunteer positions for the Greater Houston Chapter, from serving as a committee chair on various projects to being a member of the chapter board. Recently, Jack served as a member of the regional advisory council, where he took on the responsibility of several key roles, including becoming the organizing chairman, show producer and treasurer of the new chapter-owned SW Pool & Spa Show. The APSP Region 3 Volunteer Leadership Award has been established to annually recognize one outstanding APSP Region 3 member. The recipients of this award are recognized for their outstanding volunteer service within the APSP Region 3 community by demonstrating exemplary leadership, consistency, willingness, reliability, and spirit! The success of Region 3, and of all APSP Regions, depends on our volunteers’ generous donations of their time, talent, and passion for the industry.
